Overnight rain added a few yards to the course and afternoon winds added a few strokes to the course. The field saw 5 new players to the NGT in Stephen Reed, Patrick Prince, Marc Pell, Michael Arnaud and Tony Cascino. Most players hovered right around even par on the front side, except for Patrick Prince who got the hot hand early firing a front nine 32 to set the pace. As I mentioned, the wind picked up in the afternoon and made scoring a bit tougher. Stephen Reed a NGA Hooters Tour and Canadian Tour player, as well as a former Texas A&M standout, was able to post a 2 under 34 on the front to join the consistent Steven Parker. Michael Arnaud was right behind at 1 under. Steven Parker posted the early 72 to grab a share of 3rd place and earn his 2nd top 3 finish in as many events. Michael Arnaud also tied for 3rd at 72, congratulations to Michael on the top 3 finish in his first event with us. Patrick Prince held on to post a 1-under 71 which was good for a 2nd place finish. It was Stephen Reed that was able to post a 2-under 70 to claim the victory and earn his exemption into the NGT Player's Championship. Congratulations to Stephen and the 4 2007 members that earned points towards the points race and the 2008 PGA Q-School entry fee.
