The 2nd event of the Lone Star Series is in the books. We had some great action at Ridgeview Ranch, as the course offered up optimal scoring conditions. The fairways were firm and the greens were very receptive. 7 players took advantage of that on the front nine, Ryan Hanratty and Mark Walker were both 1 under. Ben Lord, Tommy Maddox, Mike Flanagan and Clint Avara all made the turn at 2 under. However, Casey Devoll playing in the final group posted a red hot 33 to set the pace. The action continued on the back nine with 5 players finishing the day under par. We had three players tie for 6th at 1 over, Mark and Tommy Maddox and Mike Flanagan. Ben Lord posted a 71 for 5th. Ryan Hanratty finished 4th at 2 under, and Mark Walker 3rd at 3 under. Clint Avara scorched the back nine for a 32 and posted a 5 under 67, but Casey Devoll was still on the course and continued to make birdies. Casey posted a 67 as well, so we were off to extra holes. Both players were on the par 4 1st and in birdie range. Casey Devoll ran his birdie putt by the right edge of the cup. This left Avara with about 10 feet for the birdie to seal the deal. Clint came drained his putt and picked up the 1st place check. Congratulations to Clint Avara, the Ridgeview Ranch Open Champion
