The greens wouldn't hold. The putts didn't fall. Who would win this one? Scores were above the norm as they rolled in. Mike Pavao, playing in the second group, posted a 74 and couldn't believe he was in the lead. The last group came in and Blair Smith of Decatur, Al also posted a 74. A playoff was in order to determine the champion. Mike Pavao drew honors for first off. Mike's tee shot launched wildly right and found the hazard. Blair's went right as well but stayed short of the hazard. Mike had to take a drop and found the par 5 green lying 4. Blair reached the green in regulation. Mike new he needed to make the putt to save par and did not leave his 20 footer short! Blair 2 putted for par and received first place honors and the winner's check of $900.00. Mike had another payday of $450.00. Marc DeSisto and Tucker Evans tied for third and split third place prize money of $250.00
